L E A  RELEASES EMOTIONAL YET RELATABLE SUMMER ANTHEM "F U LOL"

Picture

It’s summer time! What better way to get into the summer mentality than by listening to new music? Let us introduce you to L E A, L E A is a New Jersey born alternative pop artist who is currently based out of Los Angeles. Following her most recent release, an EP titled Jersey Boy, her genre has shifted into more of an alternative twist with her new single “F U LOL.” Starting as a pop artist with her first release back in 2018, her new release explores previously untapped genres, alt/rock, and she is doing great!

L E A’s new single is the perfect mix of alternative and pop, and it recalls the struggle of wanting to leave someone behind but not being able to cut the ties. This song, which varies in the emotions felt, is such a relatable anthem for those going through the emotions of wanting so badly to be wanted.

While it talks about the process of moving on, it’s also an anthem for knowing your own worth and limitations! In this song, L E A tells the story of wanting to tell people to leave her alone, but finding it hard to do so, or wanting them to beg to come back but never getting that call.

“I’m going psycho, ‘cause everyone is blowing up my phone, but you won’t even open up my Snapchat. I’m probably gonna die alone.”

The message is emphasized by the alternative melody, the strong alternative melody adds to the strong vocals matching the lyrics perfectly. The range of L E A’s vocals is shown, the alternative to mellow melody towards the end processes even more emoticons range in the meaning of the lyrics. I think we can all relate to the excruciating process of moving on from someone and not having the closure to feel truly over it. L E A captures this pain, anger, and confusion perfectly, expressing all the emotions at once.

“I don’t wanna call you, I want you to call me, so I can say fuck you, When you wanna fuck me.”
