ALL REGARDS DEBUT THEIR NEW HARD HITTING POP PUNK TRACK, "TRAINWRECK"

Picture

Hailing from Melbourne (in Victoria, Australia) All Regards debuted their first single "Trainwreck," leaving our team astonished by the sumptuous lyricism and dynamic melodies. Teased since October 15th, the anticipation for the track was well worth the wait.

Prior to the release of Trainwreck, All Regards released music under the name The Lancias. To much excitement, these alternative rockers have taken their previous releases and refined them. Consisting of Jeremy Allen [Vocals & Guitar], Mark Fuhrman [Bass] and Ali O’sullivan [drums], All Regards create a perfect blend of pop-punk tones and hardcore resonance. From the heavy despondent guitar and bass riffs, hard-hitting rhythmic drum patterns, to the solemn vocalization, All Regards make a clear statement with their new release: they have a new sound and are here to undulate the alternative rock scene.
The track opens up with heavy despondent guitar and bass chords, creating an eerie attachment between the band and the listener, practically have us begging for more. To put into perspective, imagine if Blink-182 and Trophy Eyes had a kid. You can hear the blatant inspiration drawn from these two bands as the instrumental is reminiscent of “Carousel” and “Man Overboard” by Blink-182, while the dismal vocal styling is similar to John Floreani of Trophy Eyes. Even with the similarities between these bands, "Trainwreck" remains unique and distinctively theirs.
At the forefront of the single,  Jeremy Allen’s exquisite vocals pierce through our ears, entrancing us to continue following the steady flow of this track. As we go deeper into "Trainwreck" All Regards barter their usual melancholic melodies for a much more upbeat hard rock tone, making us all want to scream “I’m sorry that I am such a trainwreck..” at the top of our lungs. It’s difficult to put this track into words, but there is this unusual euphoric release that we feel, which we all desperately need as we look at the current state of the world. They give us a nice alleviated break from the chaos surrounding us, while simultaneously making us want to thrash around in a pit.
In the middle of the first initial playthrough, I realized that "Trainwreck" wasn’t going to be the standard lyricism of metaphorical melancholia, hoping that their target audience would relate to it just because the track seems sad. It was much more than that. The single could have easily been another cheap “it will get better” moment from a no-name band, but All Regards managed to craft an extremely euphoric and extraordinary track while simultaneously developing a new sound for the band. Metaphysically, the track touches on the idea of struggling with self-identity, mishandling relationships and feeling like a screw up, until finally owning up to your mistakes and becoming a better person. With this track, All Regards created an anthem for all of those who feel bombarded by their own vices, until you finally accept who you are and take a step towards redefining your life.

While “Trainwreck” is just a tiny sliver of what they have lined up, it really ossifies the sound that we can expect to hear from All Regards. “Trainwreck” Is only the beginning for All Regards, and as we are waiting with baited breath for their next release, we can only imagine what they have next hidden up their sleeves. When shows make a much needed return, we can’t wait to catch the band playing a gig, even if that means we have to fly to Australia. All Regards has something that is completely unique and immeasurable. If you need a nice euphoric release from the current state of the world, or just want to dance crazy around your room, I highly suggest adding All Regards to your everyday music rotation. Who knows, you might have just found your new favorite band.
