BICYCLE INN RELEASE THEIR EMOTIONALLY MELODIC RECORD "THIS TIME AND PLACE IS ALL I'LL EVER KNOW"

If you’re looking for a new favorite band, let me introduce you to Bicycle Inn. Bicycle Inn is an emo-alt band from Boston, Massachusetts, this band consists of Declan Moloney (Bass), Noah Aguiar (Guitar/Vocals), and Dylan Ilkowitz (Guitar). Recently, this up and coming band released their newest record ‘This Time and Place is all I’ll Ever Know.’ This record is composed of 12 songs, all, especially the title, have elaborate and fun titles, but these songs are a mix of emotional and catchy melodies.

The record starts with the song, ‘Roll Initiative,’ a mellow and emotional song about feeling numb for someone, explaining how all they don’t feel is because of them. This song, however, is followed by ‘Leap Year,’ the second song in this record, and ‘Poor Lake’s Camp,’ the third song in this record and a previously released single. Both a lot more upbeat than the first song, the second song has an emotional background behind the catchy bass instrumental. ‘Leap Year’ is quite substantially, a song about losing yourself for someone or for the comfort of having something supporting you.

The fourth song I’m this record is titled ‘Leatherbound,’ which starts off with an instrumental melody, is more upbeat and classic within the emo-alt genre. The melody of the music changes with the fifth song, ‘Full Blossom of the Evening’ which is an emotional song about the fear of dying alone.

"WHAT'S THE POINT OF LIVING IF I'M MEANT TO DIE ALONE"
- BICYCLE INN, THIS TIME AND PLACE IS ALL I'LL EVER KNOW 2021

‘Very Cool, Brett’ is the sixth song of this record, a single previously released in October of 2020. Followed closely by ‘Dexterity Saving Throw’ the single which premiered right before this album in order to use it as an announcement for the album. But before, we have song number seven, ‘Pine Box,’ this song tells the story of letting someone go simply because they weren’t good to you, which I know many of us can relate to. While I do think all these new songs are amazing, I know that ‘Pine Box’ is one of my new favorite songs.

The last four songs are definitely memorable, starting off with ‘In Memory,’ which is an emotional song recalling the feeling of losing someone. Number ten is yet another emotional song, ‘20 Sided’ has a more mellow instrumental background, and recalls of times where everything was simply overwhelming. The last two songs are emotional, the eleventh track, ‘Paper Thin’ makes us feel the emotion of a person feeling as if they’re dying slowly. The final song, ‘Cost of Living’ is one of the most upbeat songs, and definitely one of the most memorable ones, about giving up fears and living, a true change from some of the other releases!

Overall, I do recommend this album to any alternative fans, Bicycle Inn’s record “This Place and Time is all I’ll ever know” is out now!
