GOAT CITY RELEASES FIRERY NEW SINGLE "BURN"
Get ready to bring out your air guitar and drums because Tennessee native band Goat City, releases hard hitting single “Burn." Goat City, a rock band from Tennessee, composed of lead singer and guitarist, Brenden Fowler, bass player Carter Bumpus, drummer Brandon Bumpus have been playing music together since the second grade. Goat City recently released a single titled “Don’t Pretend To Care” along with a few other songs this year. This roaring track is about a dragon burning down a kingdom. The lyrics are simple yet, really tie the story together. This song is definitely going in my everyday playlist! I felt like I was being told a fairytale but also I was living in that fairytale.
“Burn” had me banging my head as it started off with driving bass lines and pumping drums. The mellow guitar riffs fill your ears and flow into the energetic first verse. This exhilarating song will not only leave you banging your head and tapping your feet, but have you feeling fiery and wanting to burn down a kingdom. I love how this song steadily accelerated as it went on it. The bridge breaks down with a hard hitting guitar solo that picks back up with powerful, strident vocals transitioning you into the end of the song with growling lyrics “ You’ll burn and from the ashes rise anew” This track gave me 90’s nostalgia with the heavy bass lines and resonant guitar riffs.
Goat City is still fairly new to the music scene; however, they did not come to play. We can't wait to catch this band playing live one day, and see what they have next hidden up their sleeves.
