GRACE MCKAGAN DESTROYS THE UNSILENT NIGHT STAGE WITH HER KILLER PERFORMANCE

Picture
While at Unsilent Night, I had the absolute pleasure of witnessing up and coming rockstar Grace Mckagan in all her glory. If you’re not familiar with her work, just think 60’s garage rock meets 90s grunge or Lush with the hint of Sonic Youth. Her work reminds me of the bands I used to listen to growing up making me pretty stoked to catch her set.
The stage and atmosphere given to her and her band corresponded perfectly with her sound. It was only fitting to watch her and her bandmates rocking out under some electric pink lighting in front of a weathered brick wall. Grace herself appeared at the show wearing a daring blazer, showing she only meant business. She gave off an intimidating, yet glamorous aura that I’ve only witnessed from a few acts before. She knows she’s meant to be where she is, and she didn’t need to prove that; She drew in the crowd easily just with her powerful vocals and stage presence. Granted the amount of space allotted to her band wasn’t much, she still found a way to get into character and give the audience a few struts and poses.
