Aren’t We Amphibians, a three-piece Midwest emo band founded in August 2022, features long-time friends Joshua Talbot (vocals and guitar), Brandon Cunningham (drums), and Brandon’s brother Tyler Cunningham (bass). The San Diego-based trio has rapidly carved out a name for themselves, inspired by emo staples like Macseal, Algernon Cadwallader, Origami Angel, and Short Fictions. Their distinctive sound fuses traditional twinkle emo with raw skramz elements, creating a style that resonates with both nostalgic and contemporary emo fans.
