Hailing from Cardiff, Wales, Holding Absence recently embarked on their first US headliner with one of the most recent stops being in Tampa, FL. Beginning with the first note of the incredibly positive song “Celebration Song” it was clear that this show was clearly going to be a special one.

It was hard to believe this was their first time playing Tampa, as the crowd was very well involved throughout the whole set. Playing stuff from their newest album, “The Noble Art of Self Destruction” all the way back to their tracks from 2018, it was clear the crowd was ecstatic to finally see a headlining set from the band and such a well crafted setlist.

Standing on separate sides of the stage, Lucas Woodland, Scott Carey, Ashley Green, and Benjamin Elliot each have a magical way of commanding the stage in a really entertaining way. As someone who attends many concerts, there’s no other band like Holding Absence right now, they are an absolutely fantastic band live.

If you have the chance to see them when you come to their city, it is absolutely recommended.
