Polyglam’s latest single, “Town,” takes listeners on a mesmerizing journey through time and emotion. Fresh from their captivating Las Vegas pop-up performance with Franklin Jonas, this LA indie trio demonstrates their prowess as both musicians and producers with this track, self-produced and written as part of their debut EP. The song’s enchanting opening, featuring reversed piano and lushly layered strings and vocals, sets the tone for an ethereal experience. “Town” beautifully marries longing strings, nylon guitar, and delicate piano, evoking a sense of nostalgia and contemplation. The use of reversed instruments skillfully challenges our perception of time, inviting us to ponder the age-old question, “Is this all there is?”

Polyglam’s origin story is as unique as their music. Their chance encounter while house-sitting a music producer’s home led to a creative connection that birthed the band. The hot days spent overlooking the Silverlake Reservoir undoubtedly infused their dreamlike, nostalgic sound with a touch of magic. Comprising Allie Stamler on lead vocals and strings, Rachel White on guitar and keys, and John Sinclair on bass, drums, backing vocals, and keys, this trio’s multi-talented approach shines through in every aspect of their music.

“Town” not only showcases Polyglam’s musical talent but also their ability to craft a compelling sonic narrative. It’s a song that transports you through time and emotion, leaving you with a lingering question about the nature of existence. It’s a promising glimpse into what’s to come from this innovative indie group, and we can’t wait to hear more.
