 QUINTON BROCK BREAKS GENRE BARRIERS WITH HIS NEW ADORING SINGLE "THERE FOR YOU"

Reminiscent of the upbeat, surfy vibes Wavves emits and the smooth R&B vocal patterns Cosmo Pyke exudes, Quinton Brock is coming in hot with the release of his new single “There For You”. If you haven’t heard of Brock from his previous singles “To The Moon” and “Touch” – the New York singer is on a path to changing rock music forever through his charismatic lyricism and raw talent which is clearly showcased in his recent release. 

​With romance in the air after this past Valentine’s Day, “There For You” is a simply sweet track that interlaces the lovesick feeling of trying to reclaim the love of someone you’ve lost with a pink cloud day fever dream. The wobbly guitar riffs are enough to make any indie artist shiver and drool at the first playthrough of the single, I’m looking at you Current Joys. With the mixing of its tender and warmhearted vocals, any listener would be able to relate to the feeling of longing for another person – something that Brock encapsulates so well in “There For You”. Personally speaking, the spacey track has dug its way into my own “down bad” playlist. And if that isn’t enough to convince you to listen to the single, Quinton literally sang it over facetime to the girl that inspired the song. 

Dabbling in the genres of indie and R&B with “There For You” as well as rock and hip hop with previous singles “To The Moon” and “Touch” – it’s advertently recognizable that Quinton Brock cannot be confined to one genre box. Brock is on his way to redefining a space for Black artists, which he touches on with his quest to “change rock music forever” – a mission he set forth on after Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the lost grandmother of rock and roll, soundtracked his return from the brink and set as a reminder that the history of rock music stemmed from Black artists overcoming adversity.

With this mindset, I have no doubt that Quinton Brock is going to grow into such an amazing musician and take the music scene by storm. He has made it onto my everyday music rotation, and I can’t wait to see his creativity and strong lyricism take him to the next level.
