VYB RELEASE THEIR ELECTRIFYING NEW SINGLE,
"DEJA VU"
Hailing from Atlanta, VYB (pronounced vibe) have their newest single released into the world. “Deja Vu” is a three minute and twenty-two second track circulating the subconscious of the band. Members Tom Bealu, Noah Phillips, and Ryan Jones release this track as a turning point of their sound - fully moving into a moodier and more mature “sound-space.”
The single begins with that easily recognized pop punk snare and guitar melody. Starting the track off with no vocals allows the sonics of the song to soar. When the vocals finally flood in, the instrumentals cool down and lesson. This, naturally, places emphasis on the lyrics sung by Bealu- lyrics recounting a past conversation with a partner.

As with their past tracks, there is a deep electronic influence on this track. This single, in specifics, features an autotune- type, voice modifier, which works to echo the power of the chorus. From a writing standpoint, the lyrics are receptive and catchy- allowing the listeners to get the chorus stuck in their head for the days to come.
VYB is working to blend the differing musicalities of electronic and punk music- and doing so effortlessly. It is experimental bands like this trio that bring the musical diversity to the scene while still being true to its roots. “Deja Vu” is one of the perfect songs for getting into a new branch in the industry. |
