It’s past the halfway point of a 21 date tour round the UK and Europe for Spanish Love Songs. Tonight's show is taking place at Electric Ballroom in London for the band's biggest headline show to date.
The Home Team, a four-piece from Seattle, has released yet another electric single that is bound to leave any listener hooked. The band, consisting of Brian Butcher on vocals, John Baran on guitar, Ryne Olson on bass and Daniel Matson on drums...
On the track, Banshee says: "This song is my artist statement, which is creating beauty and other worlds as a way to heal and thrive. It's inspired by the Michelangelo quote "I saw the angel in the marble, and I carved until I set him free." That's how I've always approached making music--I'm just bringing to life worlds that already exist in my head. I'm also inspired by the Aestheticism movement, which challenged the Victorian idea that art had to have a moral lesson, and celebrated beauty and "art for art's sake."
