Between You and Me Take The Stage By Storm on The Daisychain Tour

“Thank you to Turnover for dropping out and making us the main support!” Between You and Me stole the stage, ready to party and running on four hours of sleep. The Melbourne pop-punk band unleashed an energetic show, filled with slick dancing and gutsy kicks. Swaggering on stage to Dakota, from their album, Everything is Temporary, Between You and Me belted out their anthemic songs, captivating the crowd with their performance. From their album Armageddon, they performed Goldfish, Super Villain, Butterflies, Go to Hell, Pleased to Meet You, and Deadbeat, showcasing their musical prowess. They also treated the audience to their passionate singles Nevermind and Overthinking. The combination of their earnest lyrics and kinetic performance stirred up a feverish mosh pit, as the crowd passionately sang along to every word.

Between You and Me proudly claims to be "just another band that got chewed up and spat out by the music industry." Formed in 2015, they set out to revive the sounds of the late '90s and early 2000s, drawing inspiration from bands like New Found Glory and Sum 41. Through relentless touring with acts such as With Confidence, As It Is, and Trash Boat, they built a solid reputation for their boisterous shows and cinematic energy. Their hard work paid off when they were signed by the popular USA punk label, Hopeless Records. However, the partnership soured last year following the release of their latest album, Armageddon. The band publicly announced their departure from the label, citing disappointment with the album being shelved and receiving inadequate support. They firmly believed that “Music is a gift, and its beauty should never be decided by the profit on a balance sheet.”

"This is Roundhouse, bitch!" exclaimed Jake Wilson, the band's vocalist, and James Karagiozis, the bassist, between songs. Their cheeky and effortlessly fun banter with the crowd kept the energy alive throughout the show. Despite their disappointment over the cancellation of Turnover from the tour, Jake lightened the mood with a playful remark, saying, "Still bitter about Turnover? A couple of shirts will fix that."

Between You and Me demonstrated their resilience by bouncing back stronger than ever. They proved to listeners that they could shed their record label and thrive as an independent band. During the show, they introduced their new single, Nevermind, their first release since becoming independent. Nevermind is a playful and addictive song that transported the audience back to an idyllic time in music, reminiscent of bands like Something Corporate and Mayday Parade. The track showcased their ability to craft catchy melodies and deliver heartfelt lyrics, further solidifying their place in the pop-punk scene.

The band's performance was a testament to their unwavering passion and determination. Each member exuded charisma and an infectious energy that reverberated through the venue. The crowd fed off their enthusiasm, creating an electric atmosphere that elevated the concert to new heights. Between You and Me's genuine connection with their fans was evident as they engaged with the audience, making everyone feel like they were part of something special.

Beyond their musical talent, Between You and Me's authenticity and resilience are what set them apart. They have overcome obstacles and setbacks, refusing to compromise their artistic integrity. By embracing their true selves and staying true to their music, they have proven that they are more than just another band. They are a force to be reckoned with in the pop-punk genre, deserving of recognition for their unwavering spirit and undeniable talent.

As the night drew to a close, the crowd erupted in applause and cheers, their energy spent from an unforgettable performance. Between You and Me left an indelible mark on the audience, reminding them of the power of music and the strength of perseverance.
