With their latest EP, “Midnight Fantasy" LVVRS brings forth a refreshing blend of nostalgia and contemporary flair with rock and roll inspiration that captivates listeners from start to finish.
Our contributor Britt Diprete sits down with pop punk musician John Harvie before his show in Boston and speaks to him about influences, favorite riffs, and fun tour stories.
On the track, Banshee says: "This song is my artist statement, which is creating beauty and other worlds as a way to heal and thrive. It's inspired by the Michelangelo quote "I saw the angel in the marble, and I carved until I set him free." That's how I've always approached making music--I'm just bringing to life worlds that already exist in my head. I'm also inspired by the Aestheticism movement, which challenged the Victorian idea that art had to have a moral lesson, and celebrated beauty and "art for art's sake."
