Writing and recording all 11 tracks on off seasons between tours, the band brought on seasoned producer Brett Romnes (Hot Mulligan and The Movielife) who challenged them to trust their initial instincts, creating songs with an off-the-cuff feel and imaginative sonic textures.
“A Hero’s Grave” serves as a testament to this exploration of spontaneity, kicking off with an effortless blend of gritty vocals, punchy guitar lines and a ‘90s inspired nostalgia placed behind a modern pop-infused production. Lyrically the song nods to moving past wreckage with momentum, propelling towards a more vulnerable and honest self.
Longtime fans can expect the rest of the album will follow suit—continuing to address themes of liminality, pushing new bounds to songwriting and sharing authentic life moments that inspired the creation of this record. Stay tuned for late March and the release of Moments Before the Wind.
